I bought a pair of these for my grandmother who likes to watch the birds from her apartment window. Although I'm a fan of Alpen binoculars, and I bought these thinking they must be good if they are Alpen but their lower end products leave a lot to be desired. The image is nowhere as clean as on my old Nikons and they are not as rugged. Alpen do make great products but this is not one of them. My advise to to spend a little more on the Nikon Action binoculars if you are looking for a basic pair of casual use binoculars.

  • Randy Warren

These binoculars have a real nice wide field of view and nice big lenses that let in lots of light. The rubber coating make these really durable and your fingers don't stick to them on a frosty morning :) The lifetime warranty is a nice bonus as well.

I picked up a pair of these on sale at a sports store. Great for watching the animals in my large garden.
