Have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these binoculars. Most of the roof prism binoculars have tried out have are fairly dark or are way out of my price range. These though look great and the price is remarkable. I needed a good set of binoculars that didn't weigh a ton and didn't cost the earth and these do the job more than adequately. I can happliy sit at my window all day watching my bird feeders with these.

These are simply no frills glasses designed to fill the budget end of the ever popular roof prism binoculars. I would avoid these at all costs as they do not give you particularly great images. If you do want a pair of roof prism binoculars you need to spend the extra money on fully multi-coated lenses that will ensure you get good image brightness. If you are looking to save some money you are much better off with traditional porro prism binoculars. You would be much better off buying a pair of Nikon Actions around this price range.

Alpen do make great products and sadly this isn't one. I agree with the comment above roof prisms are horribly overrated binoculars and there are too many out there now. I'm a big fan of my Nikon and I've just bought a new set of the Action Extreme 10x50. I think you will find they will easily beat any roof prism binoculars for image quality around this price.

i have not a single problem with them at all
