Picked up a pair of these at an outdoor show. Great feel and well balanced set. Taken a few knocks and still working perfectly. I've only been hunting a few years and this is the first real quality pair of binoculars I've owned. Now I'm wondering how I managed before I got them.
Alpen's top of the line Rainier series is a pure joy to use. These are much better than my Swarovski binoculars. I use these on my boat mainly but have also taken them on a couple of hunting trips. They are so well made and since I've had them they have taken a few knocks and still work as well I the day I bought them. The clarity of the images is so sharp and they are much better in the early morning light than my Swarovski binoculars. Worth every penny.
I got a two sets of these a while back, one for me and one for the wife. The guy at the store was raving about how good they were and we tried them out and they had a much better image than the Zeiss one's I was looking for at the time. Seeing as they where half the price of the Ziess, I bought two pairs seeing I was planning spending it all on one pair. The wife was thrilled when she got her unexpected present.
