    As far as inexpensive waterproof binoculars go, I don't think you can do much better than these. The grip is good, and so are the images.

    I bought these for my son who works on the water. He says they're great and he uses them every day. They get wet all the time with being on the water, and he says they are not damaged at all. I would buy these again.

    Pretty good as a starter binocular, but not really for an enthusiast. Canon's a good brand.

    I compared these to my Leica Ultravids and Zeiss Victory FLs... they're not Ultravids or Victorys, but they are very well made, sharp, and comfortable in the hand. Moreover, they are a quality optic made in Japan (NOT CHINA) at a very reasonable price (I got a pair for my wife at $180). I understand Canon discontinued these. Too bad, they filled the 7x42 niche with an alternative that gave the best value in optics today.
