For the money, these binoculars have no rival by any other maker. I had a pair of the wind river 10x42 leopolds and they cannot hold a candle to these. The sharp definition and clarity that these leopolds have more than makes up for their limited magnification. I am an avid deer hunter and have been able to clearly see and count antlers at over 400 yards. Don't waist your money on another pair, unless you need to be able to see for a thousand yards. I just bought another pair as a gift for a family member and they thought that I spent over 400 dollars for this quality of glass. It's just a great deal.
