Olympus Binoculars

Olympus is a world brand in optical and digital products based in England but with a strong American presence. It prides itself on technological firsts. It has led the way in a number of technological items, from “the first commercially viable gastroscope” to a number of important innovations in lightweight compact cameras. Olympus was the first in the world to produce a digital camera with more than 2 million pixels.

Olympus does not restrict itself to optics objects, either. One of its latest innovations is a digital note taker that records voices (it's also capable of carrying other types of files). It connects to any USB port, so you can plug it into a laptop or your home PC.

Some binoculars from Olympus
The Olympus Magellan EXWP-I (8x42) binoculars are a mid-ranged set of binoculars that will give you quality viewing. We do have some reservations here as certain models have been reported to give a reddish outline to viewed objects. This is rare, and Olympus will replace products. There are still a number of important advantages to this, including the $40 company rebate and the fact that many binoculars of this level of quality will cost you at least twice the price. They can be found for as low as $129 online.

Binoculars

The Olympus Trooper DPS I (8x40) is a low end pair of binoculars that provide some high end features, including a bright clear view and a wide field of vision. These are bulkier than compact models or roof prism binoculars. They also do not have long eye relief for glasses-wearers, but these remain simply a very good deal for the amount of money you will spend. They can be found online for about $50.

The Olympus 12x50 EXPS I are professional binoculars with a reasonable price tag. The ergonomic design includes long eye relief and twist up or down eyepieces. The 50 mm objective lens lets in a good amount of light. The field of view is another nice feature of these: 342 feet at with 1000 yards. These have a list price $249 but they can be found cheaper online (as with all binoculars).
