I picked up a pair of compact Tasco binoculars last summer for a series of outdoor concerts they did in a park near where I live. I love the small size of these and I could see the musicians on the stage in great detail. The only problem I had was later in the evening when the sun started to go down and the images in the binoculars got a lot darker even though the sun hadn't totally set. Still these are nice a lightweight and fairly inexpensive so you don't have to worry too much if you misplace them.
Always great to have a compact pair of binoculars stuffed in you daypack for those times when you forgot you main binoculars. I have these and they do the job OK.
The description says these would be good for kids, so I got them for my kids to take when they go camping with their dad. They love them! The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because my 8-year-old managed to break them the first time he used them, so I guess they could be a little sturdier.
